look if we're going to go down this route we can just split the gold atoms into positive charged protons and negative charged electrons and use the electrons and protons to drive an electric current, as 1 gram of gold contains 6.022 times 10 to the power of 3 atoms that's 602200000000000000000000 times 79 electrons.
