    it wasnt a superior tank because it was rediculously expensive, required a lot of resources to make and had too many gun problems. the Russians chose MBTs, Ditching Heavies, Lights, Mediums altogether in exchange for t-54-5s and T-62s for their more effiecient, and advanced designs

    the Obj 260 (260-263) was the heaviest of the IS seiries weighing 75 short tons and being the heaviest armoured post-WW2 russian Tank in history. despite its weight its engine could generate 1,050 horsepower at 780kW meaning it was faster than average than other heavy tanks of its time. its 130mm naval gun could pen any tank in its way with its AP UBR-482 shells.
