It now is a fully- functioning portal with some of the Nether sneakining into the overworld, including Quatrz, and Netherrack

The main inspiration for it was city of robots from the game Machinarium. Also I was heavily inspired by projects of bionic architecture and, later, Anno 2070 Eden Initiative buildings.

In that version, redstone dust could be used only in powered rails and compasses, so I declared it to be the city's money. Now, banks contain about 20x64 of redstone. It is mainly used to trade with outlanders.

I even built a city on a mountain in Survival. City exists now. It's 80x80 blocks, it's surrounded with wall which is apx. 15 blocks high, it has a tower that touches the skybox, it has its own hotels, houses, vertical farms, metro system, a giant university with botanical gardens in glasshouses. The city is built mainly from cobblestone and stone bricks.

That's interesting. When I last played Minecraft, it was v.0.8.1 and there were no portals. I had to collect tons of gold and build reactors.
