    Wow, nice try on GoL, now I consider making one too. Broadcasting to neighbor is quite a smart idea and I'm not sure if there are better ways to count neighbors without switching to digital computation. Anyway, you are half step into madness by trading sleep with fun.

    You can make the circuitry faster (and hopefully smaller) once you understand the logic and TPT game mechanics better.
