1861-1865. The First state to secede was South Carolina in 1860. Soon the Southern States followed. Blue = Union Army Yellow = Border States Red = Confederates Grey = U.S (Union Territory). Border States fought with the Union but supported Slavery.

    Yeah, but this is during a time of heated compromises that ended in a Civil War. Which is the bloodiest American War to date and etc.
