    @deveyer, it was originally named, more fittingly, Mammoth, but it was later changed to Mouse.

    @987tails, Hitler had a fascination with the Superheavy concepts, and for fear of their jobs and lives, people kept making designs, until the near-end of the war, when they made the Superheavy concepts low-priority, which is why you see only one Maus with a turret (that weighed the same as a Tiger) mounted on it.

    the Maus is a really tough tank, but its not as realiable as the Tiger I tank. i mean just have a horizontal line of Tigers and march them through the field and be unstoppable but instead a maus is armored on front and sides. so its just a better Tiger I but so expensive... why did de Fuhrer even try?

    unfortunately for them it was never properly finished i think, the nazi's never got to use it
