-1 The demon core did not explode, it just let out a sudden burst of electrons when overcritical before stopping due to thermal expansion, I think my save is better althought it does not immediately stop like the real life one it does stop in a minute or so from overheating but being able to cool down to be used again (Which the demon core was reused as it caused two seperate incidents before eventually being melted down) heres my save Id:3323421 so you can check it out. -

I think Supercrafter was referring to Slotin having his finger over the hole ontop the Beryllium sphere increased the reaction rate, and as chain reactions go, probably increased the dose significantly -

HapyMetal 9th Oct 2022So, the reason why Slotin did get an lethal dose almost instantly was because he was the closest to the core when it went critical.
