  How this works: When you burn coal it doesnt dissapear at instant, more FIRE, more SMKE, if you manage to convert it on time, you get more parts that you had.

  @natstar is right. Each pixel of coal produces lots of units of smoke. Also, I believe coal has more mass density than oxygen. Oxygen, however, has more energy density; so the real thing being broken here is conservation of energy, which TPT doesn't care about at all :)
