ya, it just looks like a funnel

It's not really a funnel, it's more just to protect the tube.

Maybe you could add that funnel most geiger counters have http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/40/Geiger_counter.jpg

@Alfa: Do you have any suggestions on what I could use insted?

@Jamie-Hyneman: A geiger counter will detect radiation from any material, not just the really radioactive ones, but of course, it would have to be a bit rdioactive to detedt it.

Neutrons=Isotopes Electrons=Ionization Protons=a complete element change. For example, deuterium is an ISOTOPE of hydrogen, but if the hydrogen has two electrons, it is a NEGATIVE ION. And if it gained/lost protons it would become a new element, or split in general.

Neutrons and Protons count, and electrons too. I don't know how it detects light, but the other three are possible (well not protons) in the event of molecular instability

Aren't Geiger counters for radioactive material detection? I could be wrong, I just thought they were for detecting radiation from plutonium and stuff. +1, whatever it's supposed to do.
