    I think it's better to use gravity off, as the steam goes upper

    Now its a Steam Cannon not a Heat Cannon.

    I know, it is a more a heat gun than a steam gun.

    With ambient heat on, it's the heat carried through the pressure that can melt things, the steam itself can barely melt metal.
