You know what: I like the deco layer. I understand it takes some of the challenge away from pixel art, but it replaces the shortcomings with better looking artwork. Personally, I prefer to not use it, as I think it is cheating a bit, but maybe it is worth it. Just look at the quality of art. Now, people are no longer bound by the elements available; their only limit is their imagination. And I am on the mods side. If you voice your opinion in a carefully structured manner, then they will be understanding. You may see an argument, but all the mods see is a raging user. It helps to take a moment, think your arguments through, maybe even numbering them, and assertively, but not aggressively put your opinions and ideas forward.
