I think the pressure should be on by default. (ctrl and y to change pressure) It makes it much easier to see
(and make) pressure-using bombs. I always forget to change pressure to "on".
And if it is on by default then what is wrong with my version of tpt?

pressure it TPT is always supposed to be on by default. The only way that pressure could not be default is if you are using a mod that was not compiled correctly.

Nup, normal, and newest, version. Air pressure is "off" when I start it up.

Air pressure, nukes just fall to the ground as slop and don't generate pressure waves unless I use ctrl and y.

air modes are saved, if you load a nuke that was saved with pressure off, it will set the pressure off.

No, pressure is off when I open tpt. Now all my nukes have the pressure off... that's why they get downvotes...

impossible, air mode is not saved in powder.def (has some startup options).
something else is messed up, or you are confused.
open up powder toy and immediately go to the AIR tool a draw around, you are saying it does nothing (pressure view obviously).
