    Adding O2 to fire makes it burn hotter.

    This IS supposed to happen. Forget oxygen, fire's color darkens the lower it's life is. This has nothing to do with the oxygen, just the code for fire.

    in the beta, burning O2 does actually create higher life fire, it does have everything to do with oxygen.

    I'm not saying O2 isn't increasing fire's life, what I'm saying is that this behaviour is universal, regardless of whether the life is set by O2 or not.
