When a nuke or a large bomb explodes, a shockwave(sound wave) detonates anything in range. In TPT a pressure wave (wind wave) kinda' does the same BUT...
1. It bounces aroud too much and blows stuff away 2. Its slow and drags fire and debris with it 3. It is not powerful even with 100000 pix. of C-4
A sound wave could do this...
1. Blows light things not far but shatters glass, brick and even metal 2. A bit faster than air and can be a little visible in a blured arc around the explosion 3. The more explosives the more more powerful 4. It doesn't drag fire, so you can see the burning coal being blasted away 5. Once its out of the screen and toches walls its done, no bouncing, maybe a little but it gets extreemely weak 6. The longer it stays the weaker it gets 7. Later on when sound gets introduced, the sound wave can hit a recorder placed on the screen and play the realistic sound!
This may be extreamly difficult to code, but its something to consider.
