Unfix a Glitch

In version 45.2, you could use a glitch (from Catelite's Glitchy Lava) to create solid SPRK. However ever since the beta's you cannot anymore (it just turns to METL). I would like to know if it would be possible to bring back that glitch as the solid SPRK acts like a battery that can only be destroyed by singularity, antimatter and bomb and as a result could be used as a battery where a normal battery would melt (e.g. compact weapons that require the power source to be in a hostile environment).

I agree with you +1, but considering its a glitch, it had to be removed.

I wonder if battery could be coded so that if the user makes the temp go under 0, it becomes harder to destroy (and the temp will not rise again - unless the user heats it manually).

Why? All it did was create a solid element made from spark. Although I guess it might be the engine upgrades (if it is please tell me so that I can get a moderator to lock this thread).

Several glitches were fixed during the engine changes, and replaced by exciting new glitches and crashes. Spark was one of the things that got a major rewrite.

Although easy to unfix, I don't think that will happen. Glitches generally get fixed even if they have potential uses (e.g. remote heating glitch and purple acid both got fixed).

Also note that developers have been trying to get rid of solid spark for a long time: since v41.3 at least, there has been some code specifically to do this (although evidently it did not work for all variants of it).

The new way to make solid spark is set the metal to spark, and then set the spark's life to a higher number then 4.

ur a member as if u know

Knowledge about coding is not restricted solely to people with special labels. For example, many users have made mods of The Powder Toy and so know about coding matters, but are still labelled as plain members.

I happen to be the person who did most of the engine changes for v46. :P

This is an Open source program. Which means that any member can code TPT.

Yes and because of you I just made hydrogen without scanning millions of lines in powder.c
    Or did you do that?
