I'm not sure if this is the proper section to suggest this, as it is not in the description, but in the mood I'm in I could care less.
First of all, I would like to offer my great appreciation and admiration of the work Simon put into this great design and all the new functionality he added(the AJAX posting functions are beautiful, kudos to you Simon).
Now onto the suggestion. I feel that a method similar to Facebook's friend tagging system(in posts) would be advantageous for the forums. That's the basics, here's the layout of the guts as I see most efficient. I suggest that when type the new delimiter for save id declaration(for embedding in posts), it should load an AJAX search(by name), size dependent upon the display methods detailed next. Now I see two options for how this should be displayed, 1) A vertically scrollable menu which displays only some text details of the save(Name, Creator Name, Vote status[save has 2 votes up, one down, it would display +1], and either date published or number of comments[date would be better for identifying without images]). For this method when the name is clicked on it loads the image using AJAX and shows a button that says "Select", if clicked it completes the ~[SAVEID]. 2) A horizontally scrolling menu with images and the above info. The about 175px height/555px width. Same selection menu. In both if the image is clicked it goes to that saves page, both methods should have an option to close, that way the id can be manually entered. Please give feedback, it would be greatly appreciated.
