45.2 should be beta

45.2 is too buggy. Persistent display doesn't work. (it doesn't fade away unless you are in persistent display mode). Life display has no point. If it showed elements as different colours depending on their life it would have a point. Quartz doesn't conduct as far as I know. (and I have searched in the forum and the wiki). Also, the metal-turning-red happens at low temperatures.

Yes, it should be beta. 45.1 was much better, and quartz actually conducted.

Thanks for the heads up, I was about to download it!

    Pyromaniac555:
    Quartz doesn't conduct

In 45.0, it doesn't conduct. I swear it conducted in 45.1, but I don't have it anymore.

Yes 100% agreed. Like Candunc said. Quarts doesn't even conduct.

Too bad. I was hoping that quartz would produce electricity under pressure. Then we could make peizoelectric sparkers and such.
But now quartz doesn't even conduct. Its basically just a vulnerable-to-cold breakable metal that doesn't conduct.

you guys are crazy, learn about the elements first, Quarts ONLY conducts when cold(below -100C) and under pressure.
45.1 and 45.2 are identical in function, it was an update bug fix.

persistent display works fine, it was fixed to work right. Life display is very useful for advanced things.

now if you want to talk about REAL bugs, try going for things like C-5 floodfill not working

Quartz conducts if temperature is below -100 C or pressure is higher than 8.

Changing pressure too fast at low temperatures will break it into PQRTZ. Currently, QRTZ heats up when spark passes through it.

This is not the place to post bug reports.

Life display rocks. Just because you don't know what it's for doesn't make it pointless, sorry.

There is nothing wrong with Quartz. It conducts when pressure is higher than 9-10, and can also conduct when its temperature is below -100. Sorry for elements being difficult to use, but some people wanted to have some challenging electronics. : o

Metal turning red starts at lower temperatures because it's kinda... realistic? I mean metal doesn't reach 300 degrees without turning colors over time, does it? @_@

    @Pyromaniac555
Just to set this straight. Conducting does not always mean you can apply spark directly to it!

In order to conduct spark through quartz, you must send a spark through metal first which is adjacent to the quartz.
