You're supposed to explain its functions so the developers get a better idea on what they should add to the element idea. It also makes it more efficient to them, so they don't have to research that hard on what's possible, in TPT, that won't break too many saves.
Color, functions, uses, etc. All applies. Vague posting like this won't get anything added. As of late, they've been using mods for what to add. Especially the stand outs. A game like this needs suggestions that stand out to attract users.
Is this a reply to two or just me?
Just you, adding onto what you said.
There are plenty of specific and well thought out element ideas that never get added, so I'm not surprised that people are getting less motivated to make their element suggestions detailed. There haven't even been that many new Lua or C++ mods since I officially joined TPT.
I could probably write pages and pages about this, but I think it's best if I don't ruffle any more feathers.
Sadly, you're right. Back in 2015, I suggested moderators for nuclear reactors. Immediately shot down, I've seen other suggestions get shot down. That would've brought actually a lot of creativity out. At this point I agree the moderation staff needs to look at the forum while also looking at mods that have good elements. No reason they can't look at both. I also suggest alcohol for instance what if SEED + YEST (Yeast) = Alcohol which can produce methanol and ethanol? All three have genuine uses within TPT. However likely will get rejected.
Let me be clear, the moderation staff are good people. They've the ultimate decision what's added and what's not.
