Replace feature

I don't believe theres a shortcut for directly replacing a material with something else. the closest to this is ctrl+shift+click but it can only replace air with materials and materials with air, and when you want to for example replace TUNG with TTAN and the TUNG is surrounded with air you have to ctrl+shift+click the TUNG into air and redraw in TTAN because floodfilling with TTAN will flood the unrelated air around the TUNG. please add a shortcut for directly replacing materials with another if you can.

You toggle replace mode with Insert or ";" (semicolon). This replaces everything with your "left button" element, which is what you select by left clicking on an element button. There is in fact a specific replace feature, wherein only a certain element type is replaced: select another element by ctrl + alt + left clicking (this gives you the light blue / cyan border around element buttons); to disable filtering, select the erase tool this way, which is the default for this selection.

By the way, what is the reason why replace mode can't work with floodfill, and will this ever be fixed?
