Radioactive Element based on Half-Life

Im not sure what to call this element, but in essence I think a new element which decays at a user set half life (50% chance to disappear by x number of frames set by life) and then when it disappears it releases a proton, with a high heat energy (and low life)(perhaps even decaying to half-life with an even longer life value). This would be a better fit than uranium for nuclear reactors as you actually have to replace it and theres a limited amount of energy to be released. This would also work better for creating natural sources of heat with can be mixed with other particles.
