how sort PSCN from BMTL? (SLCN reaction)

    anyone know how I could separate pure molten PSCN from a mixture of molten PSCN and molten BMTL.

    i am trying to make a silicon factory that does the reaction
    (all molten) SLCN + BMTL/METL --> NSCN + PSCN

    the SLCN and the BMTL have a 1 px wall between them so:
    pure SLCN --> mixure of SLCN + NSCN
    pure BRMT --> mixure of BMTL + PSCN

    pure NSCN can be extracted as the melting point of SLCN is much higher than NSCN, so all I need to do is to put the temperature of the mixture between roughly 1600*C and 3200*C and separate the liquid from the powder.
    This doesn't work with powder BRMT and liquid PSCN as the melting point of PSCN is higher than BRMT/BMTL and i dont want to have to use pistons to separate them.

    the actual save for reference:

    let the liquid melt on a 1px layer of deactivated pipe then activate it to seperate the brmt

    interesting solution although it does use powered pipe. I'll try might try that and also see if i can replace powered pipe with heating and cooling MERC.
    edit1: using merc seems like it could work in theory, using it to controll where the lava can go at curtain temps

    PSCN and BMTL have different melting temperatures. See if you can melt the BMTL to separate it from the PSCN.

    there is the "BRMT + BREL -> THRM" reaction. molten THRM has a much lower melting point than BRMT, but im not sure thats useful.

     Hmm, BRMT solidifies into BMTL which breaks under pressure. You could cool the BRMT/ PSCN mix and separate BMTL this way. Once it's done simply melt the remaining PSCN again.

    Try arranging the molten SLCN and the molten METL (or molten BMTL) into a horizontal line that is 2 pixels long and then drawing a total of 2 pixels of STOR (one of each side of the afformentioned line of LAVA) with PIPE or PPIP next to the each pixel of STOR.

    I have built that now. It works but is slow.
    Doing this is very innefficient as its only one pixel and the whole heating, cooling cycle takes ~ 4 seconds and it can only process a very small amount of lava for its size.

    You are saying to turn them into a solid and a powder? how would you separate them after that?
