what is this LIFE?

    once i tried creating LIFE with gray EXOT it created LIFE with the rule of B12345678/S012345678/17

    can someone explain

    LIFE is a distinct set of elements that represent some cellular automata rules (the most popular of which, "Game of Life" or GOL
