i think you shouldbe able to split light (white photons) into more like purple but you could also add things past the visible colors such as past purple could be invisible ultraviolet photons after purple and even x rays past ultraviolet and also infared photons past red. purple photons would act the same as normal photons but the thing past the visible color spectrum would go through elements sometime rather than reflecting them.
