Another small ARAY suggestion

If the life showed the length of the ARAY beam after it has been fired, that would be pretty cool. LIFE is currently unused for ARAY. You could use serialized LSNS to read this.

    Uses:

    • RADAR systems. You can have a wall of ARAY fire, and use LSNS with serialization to output to a display.

    • Topographic mappers. You can make a device that maps out terrain.

    • Better AI sensors. If you're making a maze-solving bot, now you can make the bot navigate more complex tunnels (diagonal, etc.) without it crashing into the wall.

    • Automated turrets. Gone are the days of needing a hidden sensor across from the turret to detect if an object is in its path. Just fire a beam of ARAY and if the length is shorter, fire.

Life does have a use in ARAY.  ARAY will only fire BRAY if it has a life of 0.  This property is useful in ARAY/FILT-related resistors.

Also, you can use CRAY with a .ctype of BRAY instead, where the .tmp customizes the beam length, and .life customizes the beam life

    Didn't realize that.

This suggestion was to view beam length, not customize it.
