Liquid Crystal and Photons

    I didn't have time to play around with liquid crystal until now. I had expected it to allow photons to pass or block them depending on its status.
    Would anyone like that behaviour, too?

    Yes, I agree that this should be the behavior as this is how liquid crystal behaves in real life as well. Typically, when liquid crystal is off, it passes light, and when it's on, it blocks light.

    Okay, would somebody please give this thread some consideration? At least? I honestly think that seehp has a very good, useful idea here.

    The main person who needs to read this is Simon who reads every thread. And i dont know a lot about LCD so i wouldnt know.

    Awesome! You know what this is making me think of? A single-px gate for photons! So many potential uses...
