This has been suggested once before, I think but I didn't notice a large discussion about it. TPT has yeast already, but no alcohol.
The alcohol I suggest would be nearly identical to ethyl alcohol but also have properties of other alcohols (to make it more useful).
Alcohol (ETNL)
Interactions:
If you added in an esterification reaction of alcohol and acid, it would increase usefulness.
It would also give YEST something to do instead of just growing.
It could also be another fuel source in addition to OIL and DESL. You could also have Alcohol have a lower flash point to make engines that require an ambient T>35 C
Oh lol, don't expect much. I'm not going to implement freezing or boiling because that'd require two other elements (like how WATR has ICE and WTRV), then OIL is already 2/3 the density of WATR so I made alcohol 1/2 of WATR. I also won't make it burn into CO2 and WTRV because the convention in TPT is for flammable stuff to turn into smoke through the Flammable property.
I have already implemented the GEL-based version of the YEST reaction though, which works kinda well (the YEST tends to die pretty quickly for some reason which makes it a challenge to get the reaction happening right, which is good!), and also the GOO reaction. The latter was a failure as the ACID (which, by convention, isn't necessarily completely eliminated by a rection depending on its .life) tends to eat the GOO, so I made it yield BIZR instead.
ajloveslily's point stands though; we'd still needs a few more interesting features for this to become a good new element candidate.
