And then people would ask to change it to celcius. Why not simply ask an option to change it? :P

@chasingbella.  I am an american so I understand your request.  however I think it is high time that the good ol' USA switched to the SI (Standard International) system in all measurements.  its not even refered to as the metric sytem anymore.  it is rediculous that we still use archaic systems while the rest of the world has moved on.  even in linear measurement,  the english dont even use the english system anymore  its now called the Imperial system.  refering to the time when the british empire was the dominent force in the world.  why on earth would powder change to farenheit?  honestly I wish we would just use Kelvin in this game.  which is what is happening in the background.  when you enter Temp values they are "kelvin" which the game converts to Celcius.

Or, you can upgrade to SI units? :P

In fact, there's a few mods that do the conversion for you. I don't know if there's any on the Script Server though...

@Sandwichlizard: True, however in the console if you, say, input "!set temp iron 200C" it will change the temperature of iron to 200 degrees Celcius. Same with Farenheit, if you were to input "!set temp iron 200F" it would change the temperature of iron to 200 degrees Farenheit. Unfortunately you can't do the same thing with the property tool. I personally wouldn't use a Farenheit option or a Kelvin option if they were to be added, but hey, whatever you guys want.
