Mini pixels and Micro pixels

iv been thinking about electonics, how complex and intresting some of them are. And how powdertoy is a perfect playground for people like me, who are taking and education in electronics and how i can use this to play with electronic logic (even if it is not exatly like reallife) and iv noticed how the only limit to electronics in powdertoy much like realife is space. computer are HUGE a 8 bit computer takes up and entire save. and has no proper gui. so iv been thinkin and iv come up whith a way to increace the maximum computing power of powdertoy electronics while not braking saves. now once i made a simpel byte. then i scaled it up so one pixel was just as big as a wall pixel (4x4 normal pixel) and i nocied how huge it became. then i thaught well what if i could sace it down. so i came up with two new tools to play with. scale up and scale down.

scale up will make one pixel just as big as a wall pixel 4x4 normal pixels and will also reset the efects of my next tool scale down. it will make one normal pixel onto sixteen (4x4) "minipixels" then make "minipixels" into "micro pixels" whith makes one minipixel into sixteen (4x4) micro pixels. understand that some pc wont be able to handels all of this. therefor i came up with a new seach gui button. whith will enable the player to chose if he/she wants to see saves that use micro and mini pixels. now idk how lua works so idk if im asking for somthing that cant be done but i think that if it works. not only will it completly change how we make electronics but also other things like props buildings. you could build thin walls with woking electrisety going in them whitout the player being saped and dying if the touches it and you could make tiny house stuff like tv's radios friges microwaveonven enc in this it would be really cool if u ask me. so plz atlest consider it

I would say we need more props to people making intensely elaborate electronics in Powder Toy, but really, there are already other applications better-suited to this end than Powder Toy is. Putting grids within grids, and arrays within arrays isn't really the best way to go about fitting more space into the space available. It'd actually be easier to just make the Powder Toy window larger, and probably cleaner besides, and that hasn't been done either for similar computational and convenience reasons.

(We probably could but, it'd make it a pain loading older saves that used the old game window size, and the additional space wouldn't make the particle limit cap any bigger, or the game at present any faster.)

well what about and ingame option for the window size. somthing like "tiny reallysmall small normal big large huge" and a seacth option that will let u choose what size to you want to see. all older saves will load in normal. whith is the same as the grid now and it will probably make the creativety within the communety explode. and its easy to navigate. just go forexaple big, you only see saves with size big small, only small saves

As to the "loading older saves" bit, couldn't you just make the larger pixel screen an option? And then if you wish to open an older save, you would have to switch back to the normal screen.

People have tried; it reduces FPS a lot.
