People keep making ordinary nukes and I just came up with the idea of building a thermonuclear one. Sorry if somebody here had it before me. Anyway, I am just thinking it's not going to be easy so I posted this thread for suggestions :P

making a realisic one with out clones will be hard. how do you intend to make the fissle material fuse a small amount of hydrogen to cause a huge effect with TPT's physics?

I will figure something out with my brain like I usually do. I will research thermonuclear devices but I still need some advice :P Besides, it doesn't have to be ABSOLUTALEY realistic. So I guess I'll manage. Especially when my cursor stops being retarded while dealing with radioactive materials. I'm going to base it on the w88 warhead. It would be easier if uranium and plutonium were solid though. :/

Try staring out with a boosted fission weapon and then moving on from there, you will find it pretty easy. Just ask if you want me to put a couple up in a save.

You can do that if you feel like it, and it will help me. Though if you did ever search up how a TNB works, you will know that the primary has to affect the secondary somehow. I could in a way remove the things covering it and develop it. Thanks for your advice

Try a Green Bamboo set up, that should work in TPT, then you can move on to a more Red Snow idea. Suggest PLUT for pressure and URAN for heat, and you could use DEUT and compressed high tmp SING to get the secondary charge to disperse in a realistic way. Just brainstorming here, will look in my clippings to see if I already have one of these.

So PLUT is the tamper and URAN is the heat generator. But what will URAN heat to make it explode? HYGN?

Actually, thermonuclear devices utilize deuterium-tritium, so use high-life deuterium instead of hydrogen. and many things used in thermonuclear devices don't exist in the powder toy, like lithium deuteride( a neutron moderator), styrofoam(compressor and gamma ray absorber) and beryllium(a neutron reflector behind the fission primary) and while i'm at it, uranium is used for the tamper.
