Metal+metal/Non-metal+metal Alloys

I've been thinking about how cool it would get if it was possible to make metal alloys such as steel - iron and coal/CO2 and other alloys that consist of a metal and non-metal. I know that for this more metallic and non-metallic elements would have to be added (possibly metalloids too) but it would be very much worth it!

Why would it be worth it? Other than some hazy ideal of realism?

On the other hand, there could just be alloys themselves added instead of you doing the work. But you could have the option to either make them yourself or not bother and just get already as an element. However, there could be more possibilities of creations people could make like blast furnaces. Also electrolysis is no more than 'some hazy ideal of realism' but has been added in so there isn't much reason to argue...

Do the mods just get to write the reason for post removal? I like that. 'Useless/Basically flaming'
