FP is a strategy field?

I can't help but notice how the "topic" of FP determines the saves that are in it. For example, you could have an electronic topic FP (since 7/27/14) and you'd get saves like

...you could go on. So there are strategies on when to deploy your saves and have it bash towards FP. But the problem is, the best strategy is basically just a really long and painful wait before you can publish your saves.

I'm wondering if anyone here basically has the knowledge to know what they should do, according to FP itself, in order to get their saves to FP, and if this is really just another strategy minigame?

To get a save to fp, all you need is a single upvote quickly after you publish your save. One way to do this is to look at other saves published recently and look for people commenting on multiple saves, this indicates that they are likely to look at yours, and if it is good enough they will knock it to front page. If this doesn't work you can delete and republish your save later, (not just resave) and you get another chance for someone to vote. If this doesn't work, your save might not look very good from the thumbnail, and people will click on other saves. Or people are just forgetting to vote, temporarily moving the focus of your save towards the vote signs might help with this.

As far as I know, the "topic" of front page only matters if you want to stay on front page, Eg: A front page with lots of electronic saves would be good because a lot of new players will ignore them, and be more likely to click on yours, however a front page with more popular saves on would be bad because it draws attention away from your save.

Also, make sure you update your save and add stuff, that will make your save in the most recent plus, people will know that the maker of this save is up to date with any problem.

I only have three saves, one of them is my homepage (let's not talk about that). The first save got FP for a long time and reached the one week limite, that's because I was always updating it, adding stuff and fix problems and reached 58 upvotes.

The second save got FP for 00:30:00 to 1 day and I only updated it one time and reached 13 upvotes.

I doubt the 'topic' affects saves that get fp. Maybe you should just publish it when you feel the tpt community is most active. And the saves you have linked are just 3 of 15 on FP.

Is in the morning, here where I live. But it also changes when the most active are on.

    1)Publish something genuinely awsome.
2)Make a thread in the forums, proclaiming how good your save is.
3)Republish your save whenever you log in, to bump it up in most recent saves.

As long as you do that, you should get fp most of the time regardless of server traffic or the current trending topic, although these two do indeed play a role in getting saves to fp.

I would think that either cool things with existing elements, new concepts, tutorials, or just simply things that took a lot of time and effort are well liked.

If you think it actually deserves FP, post a thread about it under the 'Creations' section. That will at least get it some attention, and if it's actually good enough for FP, that really increases its chances.
