Physics simulator my arse

I'm sorry, but this game markets itself as a "physics simulator", which it is not at all. Let me explain.

    1. If you were to put immense pressure on an object, its melting point would decrease. So, when you pressurize ice, it should not shatter; it would most likely melt.

    2. The states of matter are very poorly portrayed. CO2 has a liquid form, which this game skips completely. Nitrogen and Oxygen both have solid forms; as does Mercury. And, plasma is not a gas; it is its own state of matter!

    3. "Air" makes no sense. You can have "Air" and you can have "Oxygen". If you don't have any gasses, then why would there still be "air" pressure? Fire shouldn't be able to burn unless you have Oxygen.

    4. Acid makes no sense. There is no universal "acid"; there are acids, but they don't work as the game portrays. If you poor water on acid, it doesn't immediately boil; as a matter of fact, nothing would happen, as water is neutral on the pH scale.

There are so many more things I could point out. I know this game is in development, but at this rate it won't follow any laws of physics. If you are going to keep the game the way it is, that is fine; just don't market it as a "Physics Simulator".

If you used common sense, TPT obviously violates some laws of physics and also follows some of its laws, its not totall realistic, the heck are you talking about?

This ain't a "realistic chemistry/physics simulator", the devs changed the elements in a few ways so that people can create something more interesting in a different way - Yes, they did mention REALISTIC TERRAINS because you can create pretty much nice-looking landforms usin BRCK, STNE, CNCT and PQRT but it never said that it would follow everything in real life, so stop complaining. Okay? Okay.

Well, it is a physics simulator, and it is a game, not  intended to be as realistic as possible.

    1. If you have tried this with ambient heat on , you may find that ice does melt with pressure applied to it...
    2. The game is open source. You are more than welcome to code and implement the metnioned states. From what I can tell, PLSM is classified as a gas in this instance as it saves more space, rather than the implementation, and creation of a whole new section and a new icon dedicated to the one icon.
    3. Think of OXYG as the addition of oxygen gas to the environment within. Speaking of which, AIR was created awy before OXYG was.
    4. Game Physics, and the it depends on the strength of the acid. If it is reactive enough to create enough energy, or even through intermolecular attraction alone, pull apart water molecules, it would be able to boil water. As it is, it does not immediately boil, but it releases energy as heat, since nothing (yet) releases photons.

Thank you all for your input. I was misled, a bit. But it is alright.

I know everything you said is true but maybe if powder toy is like that it could be hard and boring. Also this game isn't meant to be realistic.

    You shouldN"T say that :s

    FoxHound42:

I know this game is in development

    if you say so...
It's been almost 4 months since the last commit - most of which have just been fixes

Wrong branch, the active branch is the develop branch.
