This is a function that would let users customize the function of the middle click/scroll wheel. As it currently is, middle click is used for element sampling, which is also accomplished by alt-click.
Possible functions:
There are probably many other that I didn't think of.
Preferably, these would be uses that are already in the game (because of laptop users/people without middle click).
This is pretty much a usability feature, and hopefully a good/feasible idea.
I just tested it, and it does seem to show in a blue outline. However, I have no idea how to use it from there, contrary to what this would provide (also, it's not a widely known command at all, unlike something in the preferences menu).
Besides, there are other options besides the tertiary element.
Middle clicking on an element/tool button already seems to have the desired effect (though it doesn't allow it to be used as a view cycler).
Red outline - left click
Blue outline - right click
Green outline - middle click
Turquoise outline - only replace this element in replace mode
All these are changed by clicking an element or tool button (including the sample tool) with that mouse button, except for the replace mode replacement element which is changed with Ctrl+Alt+click.
Middle click already works just like right and left click, although I think they should change the default to the PROP tool instead of the element sample tool.
i already know i want to know how to do it if you have a laptop
Seeing as laptops dont have a middle mouse button, there is no middle click functionality.
