Ambient Heat control/"Realism"

    Ambient Heat control

Basically it's an option in the settings menu that allows you to set the ambient temperature when Ambient heat is on.

    Uses:

    -"Terraforming"

-Keeping a save in a disaierd condition (keeping snow solid in a winter save)

    -Simulating seasons/climate change.

    -To play around

    -To speed up proceses

    Ambient Heat "Realism"

I know TPT isnt exactly "all in" for realism, but this could make ambient heat both more fun and usefull (mostly in the sense that like so it wouldnt brake as many saves [i think]).

What it basically is, is to make Ambient heat be "outside-inside specific".

In other words, for the ambient heat to be different in each enclosed space, but the same in all "open" space,

and the ambient heat in the enclosed space is set by different factors, say the precense of fire or ice.

Ofcourse if theres fire, the ambient heat shouldnt be set to that of the fire but depending on its abundance (quantity of particles in a set space) it can vary from say 30 c to 90c, but the longer the fire stays up, the higher the ambient heat gets, for example, for every 3 particles of fire in a closed space of about 60 pixels, ambient heat increases 5c, and for every 1000 frames, it increases 0.1c closer to the fires temperature. In shorter terms it follows a set proportion which depends on each particle, in other words, fire follows this proportion, but hot brick follows a different one.

Also to be clear, this Ambient heat still affects the temperature of objects, its just sensible to it.

    Uses:

    -Heat irradiation (heating/cooling)

-Technical uses (for example in nuclear reactors)

    -Better controll of things

    -Isolation

    -Better bunkers perhaps?

    -Fun?

-Preventing breaking saves (in the sence that an ambient heat isnt applied to every single particle)

General note: I thought of these to work together, but rather than changing the existing ambient heat, to add more options to it (for example, in the menu there would be a new option called Sensitive Ambient Heat, and under this option [and the regular ambient heat option] there would be a little rectangle in which you can set the ambient heat [in the regular one] and the outside ambient heat [on the sensitive one]). I thought of these with the intention of adding these to the main PT, so judge this like so.

If i lack of any details, need to clarify something or you can think of other uses, please comment!

    Thanks for reading!

This does seem like a cool idea that could be implemented. I think though that your idea about how the heat differential would be different in enclosed spaces should also be based onn the pressure blocking capabilities of the material used to create said enclosed spaces.

It's not a bad suggestion, but i dont see how it fits to the idea (it makes more complex unnecessarily)

Like how titanium blocks air pressure, it would allow less ambient heat to escape an enclosed space made by it. As compared to, lets say, a space surrounded by wood, or brick.

i see, but what matters here is the avility of the material to transfer  heat to the air, not how well the air pressure is transfered, i understand what your implying, that pressure transfering necesarily (realisticly) requires air to be moved, but realisticly air doesnt go trough metal.

Youre right, heat does. Im saying it works like, not with, air pressure.

oh ok, i can think of something but i dont want for it to get too complex.

Im bumping this because ambient heat control seems like such a good idea.

No, you aren't bumping. You are NECROING.
Necro occurs when you reply to a post that is 1 month old (or more) and can be the reason you'd be banned of.
And I'm almost sure the topic poster (you know, the one who posts :P) won't reply you. Sorry.
Ontopic, this seems as a good idea :P

This script allows you to set the ambient heat temperature.
