how do I checkout?

    I wanted to check out the source, however my SVN client shows many similarly named folders within each other. which path should I actually download?

    TPT source is managed by the Git revision control system, not Subversion.

    GitHub has a SVN support shim but one shouldn't use that at all since that is a bit broken. You should use Git as taught in https://powdertoy.co.uk/Wiki/W/Compiling_for_Windows_with_scons.html

    yikes I hope I can get it to compile- I've never had any luck with those "build tools".

    edit: Scons doesn't even install. it crashes after selecting the python installation.
