Win8 and Ubuntu dual boot issue

I know that this topic is not related to TPT in any way, but I have a problem with my PC and I know there are some computer wizards in TPT. I asked my friends and googled to find a solution to this issue, but it didn't do much help.

The issue is that, I tried to install Ubuntu LTS 12.04 in my PC along with Win8, and now I can't access both.

I created a partition in the Win8 boot menu to chainload into Ubuntu using easyBCD. I tried installing ubuntu, but when I chose ubuntu when windows aked me, I just got a flashing cursor that stood there forever.

Then, in the Ubuntu advanced partitioner, I made the newly created /boot partition "EFI boot partition". After installing with that, I can't load windows or ubuntu. I just get a flashing cursor when I turn on my computer. I can still go into BIOS though.

The partitions I made are: /boot (EFI boot partition, primary), / (Ext4, root partition),swap area and /home. Can anyone help?

Well, now that I have finished installation, that is not of much use.
    I made some progress:
Now I managed to get the windows boot manager show up on booting. But when I choose Win8, it saves the .mbr is corrupted. Now I hope I can fix it with the DVD.
