    ALUM (Aluminium)

Melting point: 933.47 K (real value)

    Breaking Pressure: 125 to 245

Heat conduction value: 237 (again real value) - The highest conduction in tpt is 255

    Colour: #AAAAAA

Description: ALUM would spawn with a tmp value of 1, and if heated above 503 K, it would gain 1 tmp every 20 frames. For every tmp gained ALUM's break point would increase by 10 (with a max of 12 tmp gains).

Uses: It would allow us to have an element with a variable breaking point, mechanisms could be deigned to break at specific pressures. Aluminium would be a heat treatable metal. Users would be able to feel like they are customising elements and making something new.

Note: This is a repost, but I have put a lot of effort into this suggestion.

Please write constructive comments for the suggestion.

Well atleast someone called it by it's technical correct name not "Aluminum"

I did more than that. Every value in the suggestion is the correct theoretical value for aluminium. This even includes the min and max breaking breaking point of the element. Which conveniently lined up in GPa with tpt's range of values.

Well, it's good to see atleast someone's trying with element suggestions nowadays -_-

It has, but most of the suggestions were just for an element with an intermetiate strengh and maybe with a few gimmicks like blocking pressure.

    Glad someone noticed :)

Variable breaking points already exists in several forms, including Quartz.

Also, elements that mimick exact periodic table properties are somewhat frowned on, considering nearly 90% of the game's content was produced entirely without referencing -any- real science.

Except for a few oddball things like heat convection in liquids, light refraction values through glass, air drag by particle (which is why Fog makes weird dots in the air when pushed on by velocity but Dust just goes with the flow harmlessly.)

You want me to add this to my mod(not released yet)? It is quite easy to code.

Can you say it breaks into what? BRMT?

     Hope it catches on.

     Good idea.

It is great that someone is suggesting elements nowadays.
