While i still have a good feeling that this is not going to get anywhere, I'll tell you the first part.
TPT was coded first by skylark (apparently because he didn't like the powder game). Simon later took it from him, and started the forums and stuff, and TPT started it's journey. -

Genesis
Chapter 1
1 In the beginning Skylark created The Powder Toy and the servers.
