a new kind of acid that's a little more realistic and doesn't go up in flames. here are some properties it could have:
-it's a liquid with the same melting and boiling points as water
-dissolves in water
-heats up when corroding elements
-corrodes metals (except gold) to make saltwater and hydrogen gas
-corrodes other corrodable elements to make dust and saltwater
-not flammable
thoughts?
... Im sure this has been suggested before. Please do your research of the forums... And acid already heats up while corroding elements. If you are suggesting acids Suggest adding Aqua Regia too. We do have gold >_< We just need Nitric acid and Hydrochloric acid.
i searched hydrochloric acid, realistic acid and nonflammable acid, and found one relevent discussion result. it had one reply, saying we already have acid.
i'm just suggesting an acid that dissolves in water and doesn't explode. wouldn't that be useful?
you could dilute the acid to reduce its corrosiveness, you could add the acid to saltwater to precipitate the salt out, and you could use the acid at high temperatures without worrying about everything blowing up
