Plasma Appliances

I have some ideas involving Plasma that might prove realistic and useful.

POSP - Positive Plasma. Bright red. Attracted to NCHG. Can be stabilized with ELEC. Can be created by bombarding PLSM with PHOT.

NEGP - Negative Plasma. Bright blue. Attracted to PCHG. Can be created by bombarding PLSM with ELEC.

PCHG - Positive Charger. Dark red. Converts PLSM or NEGP to POSP. Attracts NEGP.

NCHG - Negative Charger. Dark blue. Converts PLSM or POSP to NEGP. Attracts POSP.

PPCH - Powered version of PCHG.

PNCH - Powered version of NCHG.

STBL - Stabilizer. Purple. Converts POSP or NEGP back to PLSM.

PSTB - Powered version of STBL.

With these, you can keep Plasma ionized longer or accelerate it to very high velocities by doing a "+ - + - + -" pattern with chargers.

    Uses:

    Ion engines, plasma weaponry, superheaters.

Shouldn't POSP also be attracted to NEGP and vice-versa?

Even ionized, noble gases don't react with each other.

That is true, although some noble gasses will react with other elements when ionized. (I'm thinking particularly of xenon reacting with fluorine.)

Well, yes. Maybe that could also be implemented.

Interesting...but you didn't include a way to generate them without converting...I mean...I geuss you could use clones.

Maybe by bombarding PLSM with ELEC, it would produce NEGP. I don't know about producing POSP though, other than by PCHG.

Perhaps bombarding PLSM with PHOT. In real life, this effect can actually strip atoms of their electrons, if the photons contain enough energy.

Realism isn't really the goal of TPT so unless these elements have a unique use the answer will probably be: "Code it yourself".

How about the transportation of plasma? How about special batteries?

    And good idea, Micheal238
