Miner Ants

I actually had a brilliant idea. These ants would not eat things but just fetch them. A certain number would  be spawned from a point called NEST. They would then act like TRON and crawl out from their spawn point but only along edges (to keep them from crawling all over the screen and getting destroyed). They would keep crawling untill they get near their colony's ctype element (must be set manually by clicking the cursor on the nest) (powder or liquid only). When they sense the ctype element they will stick to it and pull it along the same path back to the spawn point and drop it. The particle's properties will be neutralized during transport. If they get killed a new one will be spawned. If they are killed while carring an element then the element will be released. This would be a good way to transport elements from many locations without pipes or portals as these are indescriminant but the ants only get one element.

    EDIT:

    name: MANT

    color: dark grey

    temp: 22C

    destructability: same as TRON

HEY! Give me a bit of credit. I was the one who thought of the idea originaly. You even said don't suggest silly or ramdom things and you named off a ex. list and ants was even in there and I said they still might be a good idea. I already had the basic idea in my mind anyway. You just added on by saying it would produce the ctype of whatever it ate and would act like stickmen. I even have another thing to add to that. What if they could act like controlable things like stickmen. That would be another feature to it. BTW dont forget to add credit for me for the basic idea.

I meant ants that just crawl around the screen and eat things. These do not eat or produce anything, only move things and behave like real ants. And no, they are nothing like stickman and fully automatic. In fact, they mostly resemble black TRONS with no tails and a spawn point. I also think they would probably get stuck if you gave them a solid ctype. However, if they were near indestructable they could carry molten elements.

I think it's brilliant and completely support it.  You even explained it really well so if they do implement it into the game, they will have no problems (at least not in defining the element).

    Five stars - ***** :)

However, I don't know what would happen if you put more than one pixal of nest touching. Should they have the same ctype or indevidual ctypes?

...well, i think...hmmm...maybe they should be separate. I mean, like what if you made a really small or compacted 'something' and you needed them to be different. Plus, if you do want to make them the same, you can just do that.

well, it depends on what you want, dosen't it? in nature, ants that live close to each other usually gather different types of food, such as fire ants living close to leafcutter ants, the fire ants are carnivorous, while the leafcutters are herbivorous. but they will attack each other from time to time
