The old thread had 58 pages so I decided a new thread.
The idea behind The Powder Toy is innovation to make everything possible, not relying on developers to code exactly what you need.
Suggest these -Elements that specifically have a use that may be used in a variety of circumstances.
Don't touch the topic for these -Elements that follow the rules of chemistry, for example, elements that would ionize, bond, be different pH levels of acids/bases, etc., unless they provide a new innovation that will enable many new, useful creations. We don't need aminoethylpiperazine to react with carminic acid to form tetrachloromethane. -Elements similar to ones we already have (TNT, for example, would be about the same as rubidium)
Guidelines -Attempt to keep your suggestion short and simple, while still retaining the original purpose of your element. -Code for elements is greatly appreciated. Check out the wiki at http://the-powder-toy.wikispaces.com/ to learn how to code your own element. -Please be respectful to the ideas of other users. -Do not post off-topic comments, as those would make it inefficient for developers and users to read through the thread for element suggestions. -If your suggestion incorporates an element we already have and just tweaks it, see if you can do it with logic gates and circuitry first (or ask the community to). -You agree that your suggestion is allowed to be used in the Official Powder Toy and my Powder Toy -Your post is subject to moderation if it does not follow any of the above guidelines.
If you don't follow the rules, a visit to a mod is in the way Last, use search to see is the suggestion already suggested
Format for ideas: Element: Short Description: What it does: Transformations: Special Effects: Conducts?: Why to use it and it's not a DanBall ripoff: This is Important?
Mercury I think this has already been suggested but I just had to ask coz TPT really needs it. Spawns at 26ºc and shrinks if its cold or increases it's size when it's hot. Conducts electricity and would be usefull on: Thermometers; Something that needs a liquid conductor that doesn't delay current; IDK Thermometers IDK again Whatever Would be shiny grey
What he means by a thermometer is a liquid that expands or shrinks depending on the temperature. It could be used for reactors, because it expands and allows electricity to flow to a higher wire, enabling a cooling system.
It doesn't matter how long the first one is. It is the regulated official thread. I haven't read the rules for a while but I believe you have to post in that thread.
EDIT: Rule 14 of TPT forum - "14) All element suggestions go in the new elements thread."
