It prints in solids from an image scanned. I think this is especially neat because if you zoom in and slow down on several parts, they are completely new ideas. The scanner works differently than previous ones and this one allows brown bray to do the scanning, making the scanner faster. The rest of the machine uses brown bray too, because it fades away so quickly. The entire printer moves up and down and has a trick to keep the holes in the right places instead of smashing them shut. It prints a layer of wood, pulls up some of it to make a picture, then erases it with a great little embr eraser. It doesn't take very long to sculpt the image and it uses very little wifi, so it could be expanded fairly easily. Theres a little bonus at the end, watching it clear is pretty cool.
