How do People get on the first page?

Suggesting by your previous saves,
* be more original.
* Some of your saves are very easy to replicate and look pretty effortless.
* Make something awesome.
Though, don't worry about the above and do just as you like. Copy someone's save and see how it works. Try to make your own that does the same things. etc etc -

Honestly said, the gas chamber is do-able in five minutes.
Also, neatness is favoured a lot. So instead of

Long story short,
use decoration mode and the zoom tool. :) -
Asking for it to deserve something on the forums, shows to others you're begging and not working on better saves.

Yeah, your laser is just clone with phot and plasma and a bunch of UK flags around it. But if you work on something really hard and do your research you can get 100+ votes. I started from taking an FOREVER to even make my first one direction laser(fail)to spending 3 weeks to make a Multi Function laser with 8 different options!
