Issues with opening Powder Toy

    When I try to get Powder Toy, and click open, it takes me to Windows Photo Gallery and says that it cannot open the file format. Powder Toy is a game, not a picture. Am I doing this right? Is there a tutorial on how to download it on Windows Vista?

    your file extensions are corrupted

    What are you precisely trying to open when you say "get"? The file that you downloaded from this site?
    If you turn off "Hide extensions for known file types", what kind of letters do you see at the end of the file name?
    If it ends in .zip, you're dealing with the extractable folder TPT comes packaged in, that must be extracted.
    If it ends in .exe, you're dealing with the game executable, and something's pretty forked up.

    it it's an exe, then you have problems in registry, afaik HKCR/exefile/shell/@
