Add Powdertoy to Ubuntu?

    Hey.
    I love The Powder Toy, and love the linux version.
    I tried to create a source-package to host it on launchpad,
    but I think I did it wrong.
    The reason why I'm writing this:
    I would like to host a PowderToy-PPA for Ubuntu-Linux.
    I would keep it updated, once I know how to change your source-tarball into a launchpad-compatible package.
    I followed the normal packaging guide, but I think the makefile is incompatible.

    Is anybody willing to help me?

    I and some others were talking to simon about this not long ago actually. Simon seemed to like the idea and we looked at some options. I think he's wanting v43 out before anything else at the moment :P

    I'll have a look at what ubuntu launchpad needs for TPT to have a package on there.

    We have .deb package already (by me, I will make better version later). And I tried to push it to GetDeb - nothing.

    In launchpad, you need source-packages, and they'll compile it.

    Sorry, have been away for some time.
    Basically, I need help creating a source .deb package which will work in launchpad.
    I already tried to create a basic source-package, but Launchpad reported an error.

    "In file included from powder.h:4,
    from air.c:3:
    graphics.h:3: fatal error: SDL/SDL.h: No such file or directory
    compilation terminated."

    Ok, what can I say:
    1) It just happens because you forgot to include SDL into dependences
    2) I fully set and created ppa TPT repo, but there is one problem because TPT directory have root permissions, and game can't create powder.def and stamps folder. I'll try to fix this problem in future (I have an idea of little script doing dirty work for me), so if you are interested in current unfinished realisation, look here: https://launchpad.net/~savask/+archive/the-powder-toy

    If you still want Debian packages for The Powder Toy, I've repackaged some old ones and now have up-to-date ones sitting in my PPA's, one for stable and one for daily.
