Well, my father was hired to install a LAN for a journal...blablablablablablabla...and right now i have a 27" iMac
right next to me, with the mouse and all the alien gadgets. it's beautiful and user friendly and the Magic Mouse is genius.
But you can't customize shit in that thing, you can only change useless things like the contrast and invert the colors(just an example), and even though the finish (hardware and software) is perfect, it feels like you can only use it with other products by apple. and i didn't notice any ethernet/fiber port in there, hell, you can't even open it up.
I also have a windows 7 PC just as powerful as the iMac, and everything works fine there, mostly because i always use 3rd party programs for everything, and the firewall doesn't annoy me with security stuff, i...we couldn't install anything there, everything that wasn't already installed and ready to launch didn't work, and Mac OS X lion is more like windows Vista, "access denied", "you lack the required privileges", even though there was only one account set on administrator.
TL:DR?
Mac=toy with epic hard/soft finish
PC=tool with total customization options
(linux is probably far better than these, but who uses linux these days?)
