I have a raspberry PI, and have been trying to get it to work with TPT. However I ran into an unusual design flaw in the product.
I have a USB harddrive, which has a data cable and a power cable coming off of the one cable, which is not needed however because of the Raspberry PI's limited power capabilities I will be running it in this fashion. When I plugged in the power cable for my harddrive, it powers up the raspberry pi. There is no cable plugged into the power socket on the board. The board however does not successfully start up, possibly because of the voltage drop after supplying power to the hard drive. But it just goes to show how cheaply the raspberry pi was made.
Veldin:
if you're gonna plug in the hard drive, then plug in the pi too
For a successful boot, the board power has to be put in first.
Haven't seen you in forever! And, you should definitely get a usb hub with an external power supply, so that there is no back propagation of voltage.
Yeah sorry college kept me busy, im finished now though :). Will come online sometime so we can catch up. And yeah I will have to. Can you point me to any good ones that you know of?
Don't know any, sorry.
