Heat Transfer Mediator Unit (HTMU) Description: Transfers heat between conductors and insulators. Converts elements in PIPE to ctypes. Properties: PSCN to activate, NSCN to deactivate. When activated, it transfers heat between thermally conductive elements to thermally insulative elements and vice-versa. When PIPE discharges into it, the element discharged become HTMU's ctype, when active, HTMU changes adjacent elements ctype to its own ctype before resetting its own ctype. HTMU will not change the ctype of PIPE (to prevent looping). It is always conductive but can only mediate between conductors and insulators when activated. It cannot melt, be shattered or converted.
Justification: With the proliferation of elements with behavior based on ctype and insulators with temperature-dependent behavior, it seems only logical to implement an element that can adjust such variables.
Uses (small-scale): -INSL can be used to store heat without risk of releasing it unintentionally -Clone variations and CONV can have outputs adjusted -STOR and PVOD can have input adjusted -HSWC can be heated or cooled before it is activated -Force, gravity and pressure emitters can be modified at will -Channels of elements can be changed -LAVA and ICE can be set to change into different elements -ARAY output temperature can be changed
Uses (large-scale): -Electronic systems can rewire their own WIFI systems when required -Automated factories can change portal channels and thus change their output -Reactors can change their fuel-cloning systems output to suit current needs -Super-cooled insulators can be used as emergency cooling systems in cities -ARAY-based heat manipulators can be adjusted to heat or cool substances in refineries -ICE-based technology that uses ICE with different ctypes will become possible -LAVA-based weapon systems can have their payloads adjusted -Propulsion systems that have arc-based trajectories can have their trajectories changed -Force generators have higher maximum temperatures and thus can be used to store a lot of heat -CONV-based units can be used to change parts of circuits by changing INSL to WIRE

I see potential. Everything is here to get it into the game. It has practical use, will open millions of possibility's and mniip already has some code for it. I would use this in an ingenious way for my final project if this gets in. If not then I'll have to cancel my final project (dunno what to do for it yet though :P)
