    Social Ineptness

In modern day society, aren't we taught that the basis of life is respect and that everyone interests is valid and we should see it in good light? So why do so many, my friends included, think that changing/fighting the status quo is a one-way ticket to social-ineptness?  Anything "out of the norm" is considered bad and should be frowned upon. Those who break the quo are considered freaks and lesser in general society. Some say it’s good to be individual, others tend to disagree.

    A classic debate is "Bronies".
To inform members that don’t know:
A Brony (Said: Bro Knee) is a general term for a male/female (tends to be male) that watches/enjoys My Little Pony; Friendship Is Magic. Viewers/fans are usually out of the demographic viewing ages of the show and of different gender.

Many people see a Brony as "Homosexual" and "Childish" for watching a "girls show". As you can see, people make those assumptions and your instantly lower in society. Don’t get me wrong, not all of the population criticize you and some accept you as you, individual. Some Bronies are scared by society and keep it hidden away as they think that society wont accept them. To an extent they are true, the world is cruel. Though, some are brave enough to conjure enough courage to tell the world that they are a Brony even though they've been tormented for their opinion. Those few are the ones that say "I don't care what you think, you have your life I have mine".

    The damaging aspect of discrimination
Being made fun of your opinion has a very damaging on your social confidence. I know, trust me. Only recently (Year 7 till now) I've been very anti-social as I'd be seen as a freak as my intelligence intimidated  others and i would be teased for it. Until I said to my self :"I don't care what you think, you have your life I have mine". After I told my self that, life got better, I became more social, made good friends, had fun and enjoyed life.

Just like the Bronies and myself there are other people that are considered different and discriminated by society.
It's sad that society nowadays can't accept that everybody has an opinion and that it should be valued.
It's time for change, next time before you tell another that (Variable) is gay or stupid think about how much you could damage their confidence in social situations.

REMEMBER, YOUR OPINIONS/VALUES/ABILITIES WHAT EVER IT IS MAKES YOU, YOU
And because I don't care what people think: I would like to say, I'm a Brony. (Avatar)
Also is anyone else a fan?

In dire honesty, this is the worst place to post something like this. I mean no offense, but don't forget this is a forum for Powder Toy.

If we ever open a Spam Central to the public, then by all means. XD
